Nice weather continues today, but clouds and showers return by Thursday.  While temperatuers are normal for this time of year the unseasonably cool temps are back by the weekend.

One more nice day of sunshine and warm temperatures before the showers arrive tomorrow.  Today feels like a typical August afternoon with a bit more humidity.  By tomorrow, rain showers move in from west to east during the day.  Showers, and possibly a t'storm, may affect the Eagles game Thursday night.

Clouds and showers linger into Friday but we should clear out for the weekend. Our next blast of unseasonably cool temps makes it feel like fall!

PHILADELPHIA -

A Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service has been extended through Sunday night as a large, slow-moving rainmaker moves through the region.

The rain started falling before Saturday morning in Philadelphia. Some of the heaviest rain will fall overnight, but there's now expected to be a second round of heavy rain on Sunday afternoon.

"Heavy rains will fall overnight, but there will be a second round of heavy rains Sunday afternoon," the weather service says.

As a result of these periods of excessive rainfall, there could be flooding in areas with poor drainage, urban areas and along small creeks and streams.

The flooding could continue for several hours after the rains have ended.

And out FOX Futurecast shows there could even be a little bit of mixed precipitation on the back end of this storm early Monday in our area...
