'Men of Sandtown' work to improve the community

Posted: Updated:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

A few men in a South Fulton neighborhood have charged themselves to improve their community and they're doing it one simple task at a time.

The group is called "Men of Sandtown" and they serve the Sandtown community, which is located right off I-285 and Camp Creek Parkway.

The guys work in all different fields -- from mailmen to engineers but they all desire to make their community better. So far, they've hosted a holiday bonfire, a breakfast for seniors and a flag football game; they even help single-mothers and elderly women with simple chores, around the home.

However, they're currently raising money for a scholarship fund and they need your help.

Watch the video above for more information on the "Men of Sandtown."
