DeSean Jackson Agrees To Sign With Washington Redskins

Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

We begin this morning with big Eagles news. DeSean Jackson has signed with the Washington Redskins.

The Birds' former wide receiver has agreed to a three-year deal.

Jackson and his publicist tweeted the news late Tuesday night, after two days of meetings with coaches and officials.

Since the Redskins are in the NFC East, the Eagles will have to face their former All-Pro player twice next season.

The Eagles released Jackson last Friday for off-field issues, including reports of possible gang activity, which Jackson firmly denied.

It took just four days for Jackson to sign with a new team.

Reports say the three-ear deal is worth $24 million with $16 million guaranteed.

The Redskins were expected to officially announce the deal Wednesday, but now we're hearing that won't happen today..

FOX 29's Steve Keeley has more details in this video report.
