Snellville Police mourn the loss of retired K-9

Posted: Updated:

The Snellville Police department is mourning the loss of one of their K-9 officers.

The officer, Euro, was one of the first dogs to start the Snellville Police K-9 Unit. He served the city of Snellville for 7 years, from 2004 until his retirement in 2011.

After his retirement Euro lived at the home of his former handler, Officer Dennis Peters.

The Snellville Police Department says Euro was a loyal servant to the citizens of Snellville and that he will be missed.
