Social media photo lands 3 in jail

Jackson County investigators have arrested three people after they allegedly posted a photograph of them standing and sitting on a deputy's patrol car on a social media site.

A news release states the Jackson County Sheriff's office received information on March 24 about the photograph posted on a social media site.

Investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation and identified the three people.

Soon after that, investigators arrested and charged 22-year-old Kevin James Fortson of Nicholson and 21-year-old Angela Marie Caldwell of Jefferson with criminal trespass.

The third suspect, 30-year-old Timothy Alan Smith of Jefferson, was arrested Tuesday, April 1.
