Two injured in Fayetteville deck collapse

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -

Two people have been hospitalized after a deck collapsed in Fayetteville.

It happened around 8:30 a.m.

According to Fayette County Fire, rescue workers were called to the home on the 200 block of Ebenezer Church Road on Wednesday morning.

Workers discovered 2 construction workers trapped underneath the deck when they arrived on the scene. Two other people were on top of the deck, at the time of the collapse.

Once rescue workers were able to free the entrapped workers they were all transported to Atlanta Medical Center. Two of the workers reportedly suffered "significant leg injuries."

No word on what caused the collapse.
