ROME, Ga. (AP) - An Alabama man has been charged with making terroristic threats after authorities say he threatened employees at a northwest Georgia hospital by saying "Remember Fort Hood."

Records from Georgia's Floyd County Jail state that 59-year-old Robert Gordon Kornick of Centre, Ala., is charged with terroristic threats and acts.

The Rome News-Tribune reports that Kornick is accused of making threats on Thursday at Floyd Medical Center in Rome. He's also accused of threatening doctors and other staff members of Harbin Clinic's cardiology unit.

Floyd County Jail records do not list an attorney for Kornick.

Fort Hood is the Texas military base where authorities say Spc. Ivan Lopez killed three soldiers and wounded 16 others before taking his own life on Wednesday.

Rome is about 70 miles northwest of Atlanta.
