4-Year-Old Wisconsin Boy Wins Family’s NCAA Pool

Posted: Updated:

A 4-year-old boy from Wisconsin beat the odds by correctly picking the Wildcats and Huskies to go to the NCAA finals.

Less than one percent of brackets in America have Kentucky and UConn as the last two teams standing.

UConn grad Travis Biechele didn't even have his Huskies in the big game, so he credits anyone who came close.

Among those who picked the Wildcats and Huskies to tangle for the title is little Henry Schoenherr from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

The 4-year-old likes soccer, but he scored big in his family's first NCAA pool.

His dad read off the teams and mascots, and Henry made his picks, all the way up to Connecticut and Kentucky.

Henry didn't have his bracket in any of the big dollar national pools, but his father said he'll get some ice cream and movie time.

"Either they're brilliant and ESPN should hire them or they got lucky," Biechele said.

"We're going to do it every year, I'll tell you that," Henry's dad, Andy Schoenherr said.

Andy said it was hard to believe.

"Every round it was like, no way! This is a longer shot and a longer shot, and the two kept winning and it was like, he might have something here," he explained.

Henry's dad said he hasn't taken his son to Vegas— just yet, but he took Henry to the Dog Races in Dubuque, and 4-year-old was eight for eight in choosing the top dogs.
