Polar Bear Cubs Named In Germany

Posted: Updated:

Two polar bear cubs at a zoo in Germany were named on Monday.

All animals that were born at Munich's Hellabrunn Zoo last year have been given names beginning with "n."

The cubs' godparents go by the names, Emanuel Clemm and Norbert Rosing, both from Munich.

For these two cubs, they chose to call the male cub "Nobby" and his sister "Nela."

Zoo officials say the cubs are a big draw, driving up attendance at the zoo.

The twins were born on December 9th.

The Cubs and their mother, Giovanna, live apart from their father, Yogi, who was temporarily relocated to the Stuttgart Zoo last month.
