Police seek public's help in Mount Prospect scooter crash

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The Mount Prospect Police Department is looking for anyone who may have witnessed an elderly man who crashed his scooter in the northern suburb Thursday night.

A 79-year-old Arlington Heights man was riding a scooter westbound on Euclid Avenue when he crashed near Crabtree Lane about 7:30 p.m., according to a statement from the police department.

The man was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he remains hospitalized with injuries from the crash, police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Major Accident Investigation Team at (847) 870-5655.
