CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A West Side man is being held without bail after pulling out a gun over a 22-cent soda tax.

Officials say Nahshon Shelton, 36, threatened to kill everyone at a West Side beauty store after he was told to pay a tax on his 2-liter Pepsi which was $1.79.

Shelton allegedly pulled a loaded Intratec submachine gun out of a Gucci satchel and began yelling, "I'm going to shoot you in the head three times! Right now I'm going to smoke your ass! You're not listening, I'm killing everyone in here."

Shelton has been charged with five counts including unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
