ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WJBK) -- An earlier evacuation at the Royal Oak Police Station has been lifted, FOX 2's Roop Raj reports.

Chief Corrigan O'Donohue says the station had been closed and a HazMat team called to the scene Tuesday morning after a detective opened a letter containing a white powdery substance.

O'Donohue says a hazardous material team tested the substance, which was more than likely cornstarch.

Officials say services were not disrupted during the investigation.
