Officials investigate potential threat on Delta flight departing from Detroit

(WJBK) - A Delta flight from Detroit has landed safely in Denver after a potential security threat.

Flight 1500 taxied to a remote area after landing late Friday afternoon.

A flight attendant found a note in the rear galley of the plane, saying a bomb was onboard.

More than 150 people, including staff, are reported to have been on the flight. Airport spokeswoman Stacey Stegman said passengers were evacuated and taken to another location by bus.

Denver International Airport said via Twitter "Delta Flt. 1500 landed safely in Denver, is in remote location of airfield due to potential security threat, passengers off plane in safe loc[ation]."

The airport also tweeted all other operations there are normal.

Authorities are searching the plane. Nothing has been reported found at this time.
