Hawks beat Pacers in game one of playoffs

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Indiana Pacers 101-93 in game one of the first round of the playoffs Saturday night. The Hawks benefited from great games by starters Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap to upset the number one seeded Pacers in Indiana.

Teague led the team in scoring with 28 points while Millsap was not far behind scoring 25 points and eight rebounds.

Indiana played well early as the two teams were tied going into halftime. The Hawks outscored the Pacers 30-16 in the 3rd quarter to gain the lead and eventually win the game.

The Hawks fed off of their three-point shooting, going 11-30 from beyond the arc. Paul George led the Pacers with 24 points.

The Hawks and Pacers will play game two of the first round playoff series Tuesday at 7 p.m. The series will then travel to Atlanta for game three on Thursday.
