DETROIT (WJBK) - A woman is hoping a driver is brought to justice after causing a 3-car accident on her residential street.

Crystal Finkley was going with her sister and her sister's kids to a Easter egg hunt when another vehicle came speeding down Coyle Street. Finkley says he was going about 70 mph.

The driver blew through a stop sign and then crashed into a mini van before also colliding with Finkley's vehicle.

Finkley says she and her sister immediately jumped out of the car because it began smoking. Then, with help from neighbors, they got the children out of the back seat.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was able to walk away from the scene of the accident.

Finkley and her family went to get treated at Sinai Grace Hospital. They have several gashes, bruises and cuts and Finkley still has several shards of glass still lodged in her neck.

They were going through treatment when suddenly Finkley's sister spotted the man they believed had hit them.

Finkley says they contacted the police, who came to the hospital. Finkley was anticipating at least a questioning at the hospital, and maybe even an arrest, but she says nothing was done.

"Something should have been done, because this is the guy that caused a three-car accident," she tells FOX 2's Andrea Isom.

Detroit police say they are investigating the incident.
