Austin, TX- A woman in Texas working at a fast food restaurant gets an unexpected "slap" in the face.
It's part of the "smack" game, and the whole thing was recorded.
In the video, you can see a person standing at the register, and as the employee looks down to "place" the order - she gets whacked hard in the face.
You then see the person and others running out the door and into a car where they laugh about it.
However, for the employee the hit was no laughing matter.
16-year-old Calaybra Jones is the employee seen in the video.
“I stayed there for a couple of seconds and took breath, and I said a few words even went to the restroom and got myself together. And went to the back and told my manager what happened,” she said. “I was embarrassed. I was sad. I was angry. Just all types emotions overcame me.”
Senior Austin Police Officer Veneza Bremner says a report was filed for "assault by contact," which is what they call it when the victim wasn't actually injured.
Bremner says the consequences of "smack cam" could get a lot worse.
Austin Police say if the kids are caught they could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor, a fine up to $500.
