Bill Clinton addresses Democrats, visits Shinola

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) - Former President Bill Clinton met with Shinola workers Saturday while touring the popular Detroit watchmaker ahead of his appearance at a Michigan Democratic Party fundraiser. Clinton said "it's exciting" to see how the Shinola brand "is playing its part in the economic revitalization that's happening in the city of Detroit."

The company presented him with a new watch featuring the presidential seal. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow accompanied Clinton to Shinola. Clinton spoke Saturday night at the annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at Cobo Center in Detroit. Vice President Joe Biden spoke at last year's dinner. Other previous speakers include former presidential contenders John Edwards and John Kerry.
