Chief Craig: No officers suspended after driving checks

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit Police Chief James Craig says none of his officers were suspended after a routine check of their driving records.

A source said the officers were suspended because they had warrants out for their arrests mostly for  parking violations in suburban cities.

"It was misstated; no one has been suspended. Let me emphasize - no one has been suspended. What we are doing is what we do in any kind of allegation of possible misconduct. We investigate, and once we conduct our investigation we make a determination. So, no employees have been suspended.

Chief Craig told FOX 2 a total of six officers had suspended drivers licenses but those issues have all been cleared up.
