Kwasi Enin, the long island high school senior who got accepted to all eight Ivy League schools, makes his big decision.

"I'm excited and proud to announce that this fall I will become a member of Yale university class of 2018,” announced Kwasi Enin.

A round of applause at William Floyd High School on Long Island, as Kwasi Enin announced that he will be taking his talents to New Haven.

The high school senior gained international attention after he was accepted to all eight Ivy League schools.

Kwasi explained why Yale is his choice with his proud parents by his side.

"Everyone there was so friendly and inviting and the residential college system there is wonderful for each student,” said Kwasi.

He also says financial aid played a role in his decision.

Kwasi continued, “in the end, it was four of the Ivy League schools met my aid with the same amount. Yale was one of them and I picked Yale in the end."

Experts say getting in to all eight Ivy League schools is a rare accomplishment. Kwasi scored 2,250 out of 2,400 on the SAT.

"It is no surprise that he was accepted to all 8 Ivy League schools. He is smart, hard-working and compassionate, not to mention he is musically talented,” said William Floyd High School’s Principal, Barbara Butler.

Kwasi’s parents say they're excited about their son's future and that they instilled in him a strong work ethic from a young age.

"I told him look, your worst grade in school should be a 95. That means you should be going straight A's in school. And I always encouraged him look, said Kwasi's father, Ebenezer Enin.

Kwasi reflected on what he has learned now that this process is over

"I now know a little bit more about how the media works. I've learned how the internet reacts to stories and I've learned how to decipher between your closest friends, your acquaintances and those who may not like you so much,” explains Kwasi.

Kwasi says he hopes to one day pursue a career in medicine following in the footsteps of his parents, who are both nurses.
