Tune into Fox 2 News at 5 p.m. from May 5-9, to watch a new story about severe weather here in Michigan.

On Monday, Rich Luterman reports on how this year's extreme cold winter from the polar vortex will effect our summer weather.  We could be in for a mild summer, but what are the chances of severe weather?

On Tuesday, Jessica Starr quizzes a few Fox 2 viewers on their weather knowledge.  Watch the story and see how you stack up.

On Wednesday, Alan Longstreet reports on how you can become a trained weather spotter.

On Thursday, Derek Kevra shows us how a new radar with dual polarization works to save lives.
