Tornado warnings and sirens as severe weather rolls through southeast Michigan

Posted: Updated:
WJBK Fox 2 - Tornado warnings have expired for four counties in southeast Michigan as the threat of severe weather remains across the state.

The National Weather Service reports the warnings no longer are in effect for Livingston, Washtenaw, Monroe and Wayne counties.

Public school officials in Ann Arbor in Washtenaw County kept students and staff inside buildings until the warning expired.

There were several reports of funnel clouds in the Detroit's down river area.  Damage reports are unconfirmed at this time.

Fox 2 has crews around the area working to get the latest information.

Fox 2's Rich Luterman and Derek Kevra remain in the weather office to see the day through.
