Detroit Weather Authority Forecast: Monday Late Afternoon Showers

Posted: Updated:
From Fox 2 Weather Authority Alan Longstreet:

Temps up a notch from yesterday at this time, but still chilly. Mainly 40s across SE MI.

High pressure still holding on for the first part of today will give way to an approaching cold front that will bring us rain that should hold off until late afternoon. Along with the rain, it brings a reinforcing shot of cool air, ensuring high temps stay in the 60s for the rest of the week.

Once we get past today, high pressure reclaims Metro Detroit and should keep our weather calm until we get into the weekend when temps are set to hop back into the 70s & shower/storm chances return.

Today: Partly to mostly cloudy. Afternoon/evening rain. SW wind 5-15 mph. High 65.

Tonight: Drying out. NW wind 5-10 mph. Low 49.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny. WNW wind 5-15 mph. High 65.
