Manhattan condo priced at record $110 million

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A condominium in the historic Woolworth Building is for sale at a record- high cost.

According to Bloomberg.com, developers are seeking $110 million for a penthouse apartment. The price is the highest-ever asking price for a condo in downtown Manhattan, according to Jonathan Miller, president of Miller Samuel Inc.

The penthouse has nine floors and is about 8,975 square feet in size. It includes four bedrooms, media room, wine cellar and an observation deck at the top.

Prices for other condos in the Woolworth Building start at $3.5 million for a 1,209 square-foot unit on the 44th floor. Three units are listed at more than $20 million, including a 6,084-square-foot apartment for $24 million.

The project is being developed by Alchaemy Properties.  Sales are scheduled to begin in the fall with moving scheduled for 2016.
