Police: Armed Robbers Strike Again At Evesham 7-Eleven

EVESHAM TWP., N.J. -

Police say they have linked two armed robbers to a number of heists in New Jersey.

Police believe they've hit businesses in four areas, including Cumberland, Burlington, Camden and Mercer Counties.

“They're definitely professionals. They know what they’re doing” said Evesham Police Lt. Joseph Friel.

According to police, the armed robbers are tactical and have moves like a SWAT team. Once inside the bandits have been terrifying 7-Eleven store employees across four counties, according to police.

“They definitely have a plan going in. They knew what they were targeting,” said Lt. Friel.

The latest robbery was caught on tape, which happened early Tuesday morning at the 7-Eleven on Main Street in Evesham.

The suspects grabbed the clerk, forced him to open a cigarette storage room, then forced him to open the cash registers and zip tied him, authorities say.

“They came in with the gun out, put it right to the clerk's neck , threatened him and one point they do hit the clerk in the back of the head with a fist. Very violent.” said Lt. Friel.

Wayne Lucarini stops at the 7-Eleven all the time. He's concerned for the store employees and worried the suspects could turn violent.

"I'm surprised they had the audacity to come in here and do such a thing,” said Lucarini.

Police say just last week the same suspects hit a 7-Eleven in Medford Lakes.

Employee Hari Desai says the suspects planned their robbery very carefully.

“Very smart, they take the cigarettes, they' don’t take the money from the safe. The safe $600-$700. The cigarette money, $7,000,” said Desai.

Investigators say they're worried about the safety of store employees, customers and responding officers.

Police believe the suspects are getting rid of the cigarettes on the black market. In the Medford Lakes case, police say the suspects fled in a red sedan.
