Man injured in shootout with Gwinnett SWAT

BUFORD, Ga. - The Gwinnett County Police Department confirms a SWAT team was called to a home in Buford Friday afternoon.

Police say a neighbor reported shots being fired inside a home in the 4000 block of Gold Mine Drive around 4:15 p.m.

Police tell FOX 5 when they arrived, Jon Digiulio started shooting at them from his wheelchair. SWAT units were called in and there was more gunfire.

A SWAT officer shot and injured the suspect. Digiulio was shot once in the hand and taken to a local hospital.

No officers were injured.
