Men severely burned after crashing speeding Ferrari

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Two men suffered burns over 70 percent of their bodies after a Ferrari they were in caught fire after a crash.

The New York State Police say it happened Sunday afternoon at about 4:12 p.m. in Dutchess County.

Police say that Pablo Cisilino, 46, of Manhattan was driving southbound on Chestnut Ridge Road in the Town of Washington at a high rate of speed. Police say he lost control of the 2013 Ferrari convertible on a curve.

After skidding for about 200 feet, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck two trees. The force of the collision with the second tree returned the vehicle to the roadway where it burst into flames.

Cisilino and his passenger, 38-year old Sebestian Pane, from Argentina, were severely burned. Despite the serious burns, they were able to get themselves out of the burning vehicle.

Residents hears what was described as "numerous loud explosions" and went to the crash scene to help care for the two victims.

Cisilino and Pane were both taken by LifeNet helicopter to Westchester Medical Center where both remained in critical condition on Monday night.

The car was destroyed.  It was unclear which model the men were driving but a Ferrari Spider retails for more than $257,000.

The investigation into the crash is continuing and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, according to police.

Cisilino is listed as a portfolio manager at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, located on 52nd St. in Manhattan.
