PHOENIX (AP) - A man accused of trying to grab a teenage girl at a Phoenix bus stop and chasing after her with a baseball bat has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 38-year-old Tommy Andrade also was sentenced Tuesday to lifetime probation.
They say Andrade pleaded no contest to luring a minor for sexual exploitation, attempt to commit aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
Phoenix police say the 14-year-old girl saw the suspect holding a bat and sitting on a bench last Oct. 25.
The girl told police Andrade reached out and tried to grab her hand as she walked to the bus stop.
She ran away and Andrade followed her with the bat.
The teen flagged down a driver, who let her get into the car.
