Police: Woman Started Fire At Home Shared With Boyfriend

Posted: Updated:
CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

Police say a 28-year old woman started a fire at the home she shared with her boyfriend.

Police were the first to respond to the scene at 11:54 p.m. and flames were already visible through the roof when they arrived. The fire significantly damaged the inside of the home.

It is suspected Jonna Rutterow used lighter fluid as an accelerant in a bedroom of the home.

Rutterow’s boyfriend was found uninjured on the property soon after a search for Rutterow was conducted. About 5 hours later officials say Rutterow walked out of nearby woods where she had been hiding.

Neighbors informed police the couple engaged in a domestic dispute prior to the incident.
