Police: Fight Breaks Out Between Rival Motorcycle Clubs

Posted: Updated:
LIMERICK TWP., Pa. -

Police say a brawl between motorcycle gangs left two people injured in Montgomery County on Saturday.

Now, neighbors are worried there could be an all-out war between the groups.

Fox 29’s Chris O'Connell reports.

Limerick Township Police say that fight was between nearly 50 members of two rival motorcycle clubs, which ended up in gunfire.

Residents of the Ridge View Terrace Mobile Home Park are scared.

Police say about a dozen members of the Philadelphia based "Wheels of Soul" motorcycle club were holding a barbecue at the park off of Ridge Pike. The BBQ was complete with a sign welcoming it's members; however, when about 30 other bikers from the rival the Pagan Motorcycle Club showed up, things quickly spiraled out of control.

"It's just go crazy since I was so close to it. And you don't expect this kind of thing to happen in Limerick," said Limerick Township resident Victoria Lafleur.

Lafleur was at a baby shower, holding a newborn in her arms, when she heard the melee.

Police say the leader of the Wheels of soul was viciously beaten with a bat or ax handle. His motorcycle is still at the scene. The leader and another man were taken to the hospital. The victim attempted to get away, and fired 2 shots into the ground. That's when the Pagans took off.

"I saw everyone run in the house and I was like ‘oh my God, someone got shot’" said Lafleur.

"What it is that clubs don't like other clubs?" said Ashton.

Police say no arrests have been made because the victims are not cooperating with investigators. Police believe both clubs were in the area attending a local custom motorcycle show in Montgomery County.
