Police seek suspect in toy store robbery

Posted: Updated:
WATERFORD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Waterford police are asking for the public assistance to identify the suspect in a toy store robbery.

On May 17 just after 6 a.m. officers responded to the Toy Box store located on Dixie Highway in Waterford for reports of a break-in.  Another business owner from the same building notice damage to the front door and called police.

A review of in house security footage shows a female suspected unsuccessfully attempting to break the glass with a rock, before backing her truck into the door.

The suspect is described as a white female with blond hair.  She is believed to be between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-6 and approximately 140 to 170 pounds.

The suspect was driving a red Dodge Dakota extended cab.  She entered the store through the broken glass and is seen exiting the store moments later carrying a bag containing several gaming systems.

The incident remains under investigation.  If you recognize the suspect, call the Waterford at (248) 618-7515.
