Rotary club rallies to support paralyzed Madison man

Posted: Updated:

The Rotary Club of Madison will hold a fundraiser next month for a borough resident who is paralyzed from the neck down from a viral infection with no known cure.

Dave Cuozzo, a husband and father of four who has been a Union Township police officer for more than 25 years, contracted the virus in December and remains confined to a wheelchair.

"The road ahead is challenging: physically, emotionally and financially for him and his young family," the Rotary Club wrote in a statement.

Members of the Rotary Club will host a pig roast fundraiser on Saturday, July 12 at St. Vincent Martyr Auditorium on Green Village Road from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Adult tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. Children ages 6 to 12 are $15 and those under 6 years old are free.

Tickets include food, wine, beer, soda, live music, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased at Investors Bank, Provident Bank, Union Center National Bank, Fulton Bank, D. Torr, Madison Pharmacy, Main Street Wine Cellar and Drip Coffee Shop.
