CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - After above normal precipitation fell during the month of May, June is off to a wetter than normal start.

Since June 1st, Chicago’s O’Hare has received 3.07” of rain, which is 0.94” above normal.

Midway airport has received 2.98” of rain, which is 0.41” above normal.

Here is a list of other observations around Chicago with total rainfall for June so far with the departures from normal in parenthesis.

Waukegan – 4.18” (+1.61”)

Romeoville – 4.16” (+1.38”)

Aurora/Sugar Grove – 3.75” (+0.91”)

DuPage – 3.62” (0.77”)

A lot of this rain fell during the time frame of June 18th-19th. Here’s a list of the total rainfall around Chicago.

The weather pattern is expected to remain unsettled over the next 7 days as a series of storm systems move into the area.

    June of 2014 saw 7.81 inches of rain making it the fifth wettest on record. July started wet, but saw only .10 inches of rain since July 15. That quickly changed on the afternoon and evening of August 4 as a slow moving cold front sagged South.
