Dana Purfoy's 2013 Ford Explorer was stolen right out of his driveway. It happened around 5am Saturday near 8 Mile and Cushing and Purfoy was not alone. His neighbor's Impala was also stolen along with at least half a dozen other cars in the area. Dana found his car just across 8 Mile on Eastburn near Cushing. Dana located his vehicle just across 8 Mile. The SUV was stripped with the tires and rims missing. He spotted his neighbor's car not too far away.

The family had another vehicle stolen from the same spot in their driveway in the same manner last year. That's why they set up surveillance cameras. Purfoy says the problem is the market out there for hot items.

"As long as you got somewhere to take stolen goods people will steal," he said. "As long as people are running around buying stolen goods, they'll always have somewhere to take it. So we as a people we are part of the problem."

So far, no arrests.
