CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man charged with shooting at an SUV on the Dan Ryan Expressway on Sunday night has been ordered held without bond.

Dantrel K. Fuller, 21, of the 1600 block of East 74th Street, is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to a release from Illinois State Police.

Judge Peggy Chiampas ordered Fuller held without bond at a hearing Tuesday, court records show. He will next appear in court for a preliminary hearing June 30.

About 10:20 p.m., Fuller was driving an Infiniti M35 southbound in the middle lane on the expressway near 71st Street when he shot at a Volvo XC90 in the left lane, State Police claim.

Multiple gunshots struck the Volvo, police said. The Volvo then sideswiped a Honda Pilot SUV near 79th Street, forcing the Honda to crash into the wall.

The man driving the Volvo suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment, police said.

Chicago Police arrested Fuller and a female passenger after they exited the expressway near 87th Street, authorities said. Police also recovered a firearm near the scene.

State Police have not determined a motive for the shooting as of Monday afternoon. Additional charges are pending as authorities continue to investigate.
