DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) - The week before Ford Motor Company CEO Alan Mulally officially steps down as chief and hands over the reigns to Ford's next CEO Mark Fields, he talks with Fox 2's Murray Feldman about his 8-years on the job.

Play the five part video to see what could be described as an exit interview to the media.  For business people of all kinds, there is some real insight to be had here as Feldman poses questions that go beyond the auto industry.  Mulally, who is credited with turning Ford around, is candid with his answers.

Video 1: Mulally explains how he overcame the stigma of "not being a car guy" when he took over the company in 2006.  It starts with the notion of getting employees to talk about problems and getting the management team engaged to solve them.

Video 2: Mulally talks about his five component business plan:

1. Stop fighting   2. Tell the truth   3. Be accountable   4. Stick with one set of numbers   5. Do less better

Video 3:  The word Mullaly likes to use: Honor, as in "an honor to serve."

Video 4: Mullaly on how he took risks to restructure the company.

Video 5: Mullaly reluctantly speaks to his legacy.

The internet is like an elephant -- it never forgets. While spoken words leave little trace and are quickly forgotten, written words endure in the online environment. Whatever you post, tweet, update, share -- even if it's deleted immediately afterwards -- has the potential to be captured by someone, somewhere, without your knowledge.
