Driver in custody after fleeing police twice in Addison

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A person is in custody after fleeing police twice before crashing late Tuesday night in west suburban Addison.

About 11:50 p.m., a police officer tried to the pull the driver over at Lake Street and Neva Avenue, according to a release from Addison police.

The driver of the vehicle fled, and the officer later found the vehicle near Lake Street and Third Avenue, police said. The person fled again and crashed the vehicle near Lake Street and Marcus Drive.

The driver got out of the vehicle and ran away, but was taken in custody after a brief chase, police said.

No further details were released Wednesday morning.
