    Cleanup from fatal storms begins in Eastern states

    Officials in central New York say four people are dead and four homes have been destroyed in building collapses amid severe thunderstorms.
    Residents of this rural central New York town on Wednesday picked through debris from homes battered by a deadly tornado, and utility crews worked to restore power in several Eastern states hit by severe storms.
EVESHAM TWP., N.J. -

Storms rolled in hard and fast Tuesday night, bringing pounding rain and high winds across the East Coast.

At least five deaths have been reported around the country, while here at home the power is still out for thousands Wednesday morning.

The latest outage numbers now show some 70,000 PECO customers are without power in Pennsylvania. Chester County was the worst hit and still has about 27,800 customers in the dark.

About 10,000 PSE&G customers in New Jersey are without power right now. Camden was the worst hit there with some 4,400 customers doing without.

And in Delaware, Delmavara Power is reporting 1,600 outages.
