A separate hazardous weather outlook was issued for Kane and Lake counties, as well as parts of northwest Indiana.

Those areas could see isolated to scattered thunderstorms with cloud-to-ground lightning, 60 mph wind gusts and some localized flooding through the afternoon, the weather service said.
