Stanley Glover's time on SYTYCD comes to an end

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The curtain has closed on Chicagoan Stanley Glover's run on the hit show 'So You Think You Can Dance,' but his future looks bright.

Glover began dancing at the age of 13 and easily grabbed a spot in the top 20 of SYTYCD this season when he wowed the judges with his amazing flexibility and high leaps - a rarity in male dancers.

The 19-year-old contemporary dancer made it through three full live shows before he was voted off Wednesday night. Judges believe the choreography Glover was assigned in the second week of the live shows hurt his votes.

The Broadway-style dance to "I've Got Your Number" did not allow the limber dancer to show off his technique as he did in previous performances, judges said.

Prior to Wednesday's show, Glover tweeted, "Hopefully the judges like my routine tonight but as long as I have fun & enjoy myself, that's all I could really ask for! #sytycd"

During Wednesday night's live show, it was revealed that Glover was one of the six dancers with the least amount of votes. After giving an exciting performance that gave the illusion he was dancing on a magic carpet, Stanley was told he would be the dancer leaving the show.

While the dancer's time on SYTYCD may have come to an end, his future still looks bright. Judges said Glover's flexibility and command of the stage made him one of their favorites. Judge Mary Murphy told Glover he was one of the highest jumpers in SYTYCD history.

You can watch the other dancer's fight for the title of "America's Favorite Dancer" every Wednesday at 7 p.m. on FOX 32.
