Woman charged with DUI, Sandy Springs officer injured in GA 400 crash

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -

Police tell FOX 5 that a 39-year-old woman was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane after crashing into a Sandy Springs patrol car on Wednesday.

Tamika Shelia Woodson struck the back of the officer's car, pushing it over 100 feet from a stand still positon on GA 400, according to reports.

Police say Woodson and officer Mike Stark were taken to North Fulton Hospital. Officer Stark is in stable condition and is expected to recover fully.
