2 surrender after allegedly firing shots, barricading selves inside home

Two suspects surrendered after allegedly firing at an officer and barricading themselves inside a home near 7th Avenue and Southern.

An off-duty police officer reportedly saw some people doing graffiti early Friday morning. He called in the crime and followed them.

We're told the group became aware the officer was following them around 7th Avenue and Mohave and shot at him.

The officer wasn't hurt and didn't return fire.

Police say the two people barricaded themselves inside a home near 7th Avenue and Southern. There were reportedly a lot of people inside the home during the situation.

Officers tried to communicate with the suspect by phone, PA system and through a SWAT Team.

Phoenix Police Lt. Ed DeCastro says the barricade situation came to a peaceful end when the suspects decided to come out with family members.

No names have been released.
