OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJBK) -

UPDATE: DTE Energy reports Monday morning 167,000 outages, mostly in Livingston and Oakland counties.

Damage was reported across Metro Detroit Sunday after severe storms moved across our area. About 200,000 customers lost power in the hail, heavy rain, strong winds, localized flooding and thunder and lightning.

Pontiac picked up a quick 2 inches of rain in the storm. We saw a tree that snapped and crashed through the windshield of a man's SUV in Warren. In Royal Oak, wires fell on a fence connected to a house and started a fire. Crews are working to restore power across the area. Stay with Fox 2 and myfoxdetroit.com for updates.
