Police warn of recent home burglaries in Chicago Lawn

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents of a recent string of home burglaries in the Southwest Side neighborhood.

Each of the burglaries, which happened from July 21-27, involved at least one robber entering a home or garage and stealing property, Area Central detectives said in an alert.

The incidents occurred in the following blocks:

- July 21, in the 6200 block of South Albany Avenue, during early morning hours;

- July 21, in the 3000 block of West 63rd Street, during daytime hours;

- July 23, in the 6100 block of South Sacramento Avenue, during evening hours;

- July 24, in the 6400 block of South Whipple Street, during afternoon hours;

- July 25 and 26, in the 3300 block of West 64th Street, hours unknown;

- July 27, in the 6000 block of South Whipple Street, during early morning hours.
