St. Clair Shores still dealing with aftermath of Monday's storm

Posted: Updated:
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WJBK) -  There was quite a mess Tuesday inside Michigan Harbor Marina in St. Clair Shores.

Throughout neighborhoods there was downed trees, branches and mud.

One resident, who gave the name Bill, said the skies opened releasing a "biblical deluge."

On Monday night most streets were flooded.

"These cars could not drive down the street, there is feet of water," Bill said.

People seen in kayaks and rafts were trying to get through. For most, this was still the Tuesday morning commute.
.
Resident Dave Deacon said that, people were trying to get the water out of the inside of their cars.

When the storm rolled through -- it brought high winds, hail, thunder, lighting and quick, heavy rain.

The city says a transformer blew -- a pump -- stuck -- not working for a good 30 minutes. Now some of the water is off the streets, but into many neighbors basements.
