At least four people were shot near a Goose Island night club early Wednesday on the Near North Side.

About 3:40 a.m., police received a call of a person shot in the 1100 block of North North Branch Street, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Two men thought to be in their 30s were found shot in the parking lot of Hearts Night Club, 1115 N. North Branch St. One was shot in the leg and groin area, and the other was shot in the chest and back, Alfaro said. They were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

A third man, also in his 30s, showed up at Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, and he was transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Alfaro said. His condition was not immediately known.

A fourth man later showed up at Stroger with a gunshot wound to his right arm, police said. His age and condition were unknown.
